The programs celebrate both public and private, fast-growing companies that are transforming the technology industry in North America. Now in its 30th year, this recognition highlights our influence and innovation on a continental scale.

Lara Gilchrist, CEO, credits this milestone to the company's focus on innovation, and a customer-centric approach, “We’re always working to improve our services, and it’s exciting to see our growth as a result. This recognition highlights the hard work of our team and the trust our clients have in us.”

She adds, “our customers have so many opportunities to make a difference in their communities. With the growing need for efficiency and innovation, we’re thrilled to see these capabilities expanding across Canada, the U.S., and beyond.”

Traction Rec began with a passion to support nonprofit community organizations — vibrant hubs for connection and learning, which often lack access to the technology available to for-profits due to resource constraints. With the aim to bridge this gap, we have built a solution leveraging Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM platform, to help community centers manage their operations efficiently and engage with community members in meaningful ways.

To kick off this year's award celebrations, recipients were invited to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TMX/TSX) to ring the Market Open Bell in Toronto's Financial District.

Our commitment to provide better technology has led us to continuously evolve our services for organizations such as YMCAs, Jewish Community Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and parks and recreation centers. By doing so, we help these organizations deliver their missions with measurable impact, amplifying the incredible work they do.

Lara goes on to share, “our success comes down to our people—they’re our biggest asset. They go above and beyond for our customers, helping us grow while staying true to our values of purpose, growth, and inclusion. We’re proud to be recognized among so many other extraordinary organizations.”

Following its Series A funding in 2022 and recent support from National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), Traction Rec continues to invest in product development. By focusing on serving nonprofit community centers and parks and recreation organizations, Traction Rec has empowered these groups to better support their members and has become a top ISV partner in the Salesforce ecosystem.

"These exceptional Technology Fast 50 winners epitomize the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence in Canada's technology sector," expressed Ander McKenzie, the National Technology Fast 50 program leader at Deloitte Canada. "By demonstrating remarkable growth rates and showcasing their ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving market, these companies have distinguished themselves as leaders in their respective fields. Their success not only reflects their own ingenuity and dedication but also contributes to the overall growth and competitiveness of Canada's technology ecosystem. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and recognize them as the driving force behind the country's technology advancement and economic prosperity."
